WHO ARE WE?
Atelier Dehar detaches the design process from the dogmatic and explores counter-hegemonic plurality in aesthetics and spatial practice.
Dehar (ደሓር pronounced deh-ha-rr) means after in Tigrinya. A time and an exhalation less burdened than future - this word is a strategy as much as it is a reminder. Our firm looks at the underside of a project, the things latent in its content- we look to its after and the after.
Atelier Dehar is grounded escapism, an after that is sincere, sustainable, socially engaged and beautiful.
WHAT DO WE DO?
MOST OF IT- IF ITS RELATED TO DESIGN AND CREATIVE DIRECTION.
Spatial practice is the position from which we operate, but we do not differentiate between mediums. As a part of our ethos we blur the boundaries between disciplines. We work as consultants, we design architecture, interiors, sets, installations and products, we conceptualise fabrication processes and brand identities, we make images, film and sound. We are always ecologically and ethically driven.
